Summer Celebration Gift Wrapping Ideas

Posted by Mary Babiez on Jul 17 2017

What does summer mean to you? Sunshine, flowers, the beach? Ice cream, watermelon, tropical trees? These are just a few of my favorite images of summer. I’m a big fan of bright colors, and summer is the perfect season for bright hues. When it comes to backyard BBQs and summer celebrations, you’re sure to find all your party needs in tropical colors or colors of the ocean. These color themes of summer make it easy to plan a theme for your summer celebration and gift wrapping should be no exception.

Along with your summer color scheme of choice, there are many creative ideas to add toppers to your gift boxes, paper cutouts in all the shapes of the season, and many other decorative ideas to make your gift packages scream summer!

These are a few of my favorites:

The quintessential summer pinwheel, done up in the colors and style of your occasion, makes an adorable summer gift wrap. See how to make your own at Older and Wisor or pick one up at your nearest dollar or craft store.

This handmade paper fruit wrap is about as cute as it gets for summer! There’s a full tutorial for each fruit at The House that Lars Built.

I love the fabric gift wrap trend. With the right choice of color and design, this wrap technique can be applied for any season or any occasion!

These honeycomb gift toppers from You Are My Fave are easy and customizable. My fave is the 3 scoop ice cream cone!

A simple and very summery way to wrap a gift is by adding a seashell or two to the top of the package. I found some great examples at Beachcomber. Take a look!
