How to Prepare Your Office for the Holiday Season
Posted by Mary Babiez on Nov 18 2025

At this time of year, everybody is focused on the holiday season. There are so many celebrations that come up that it's fun to really get in the spirit and welcome that holiday magic into our lives. One of the best ways for you to do that is to make sure that you're preparing your office for it. If you're not sure where to start, here's what to do.
1. Plan Your Office Decor
Of course, you're always going to begin by planning out your office decor. If you tend to do the same thing every year because you've invested in your own decorating items, then this will be easier for you, but you still need to focus on when you'll put it up and how. However, if you bring in a decorating team, nothing beats sitting down to plan how you're going to do your decor this year. Then all that's left to do is to get it in place.
2. Get Clean and Organized
However, before you place your holiday decor in the office, you need to make sure that you get it clean and organized, ready to go. Sometimes this is the perfect excuse to update your office in general. Here, bringing in beautiful handmade corner shelves to display items is always a good idea. You can then use them afterwards to display awards or photos. When the office is clean and organized, your decor will be ready to go.
3. Bring in Festive Spirit
But it's not just about how the office looks, it's how it feels. So you also need to make sure that you're bringing in the festive spirit. Your office atmosphere is everything here. Rather than it being stressful or you aiming to crack the whip, make sure that you're focusing on that lovely and light Christmas spirit that we all know and love.
4. Plan Office Downtime
With that in mind, you also need to make sure that you're planning in some office downtime. Of course, you'll want to have your Christmas holiday party in place, but having relaxed afternoons, letting people go home early, or taking off Christmas days for shopping and time with family is so important here. You also need to focus on when you're going to be closing over the holiday season.
5. Make Everything a Celebration
Finally, you may find that one of the best things to do to make sure that you have the holiday spirit in your office is to try to make everything a celebration. At this time of year, the magic of Christmas is hard to beat. You can feel it in the air; everyone feels happier and lighter, and it can really make a difference in the way that your office feels. So alongside your decor and planning your Christmas party, why not make everything feel like more of a celebration? Something as simple as keeping that Christmas music going and making a fuss of the different results that come through can be a lot of fun.
