Recipe Roundup: Back to School Cookie Recipes

Posted by Mary Babiez on Aug 24 2015

So Back-to-School has begun. I enjoy seeing all the photos on Facebook. In all shapes and sizes, I’m seeing tots ready for their first day of kindergarten, junior high tweens posing in the new outfit awaiting the bus, high schoolers suddenly looking like young men and women, and cars packed with stuff for the old college move-in!

With all of those little and big people getting ready once again for some heavy duty brain work, some tasty snacks are a must. Here is a roundup of some of my favorite cookies to keep those brain cells pumping.

Nothing quite says fall like the combined flavors of caramel and apple. These Caramel Apple Pie Cookies from Cincishopper.com are easy to make and bursting with flavor.

And for those late dog days of summer, while school may be in session, the heat may still be on outdoors. These blueberry lemon cookies from sugarapron.com will keep that summer feeling going well into September.

Of course, traditional chocolate chip cookies are always a special treat, whether in school or not. This recipe from a Pinch of Yum is especially soft and flavorful.

The perfect after school treat for kids of all ages is an ice cold glass of milk and the best Snickerdoodle cookie. This recipe from AverieCooks is sure to be a repeat.

The classic peanut butter cookie is also a favorite of young and old. This World’s Greatest Peanut Butter Cookie recipe comes from Bitz ‘n Giggles.
